In article are presented nine-years expirience in telemedicine for rural and remote districts of Russia. Starting in 1997 from simple web cameras and ISDN telephone lines between Moscow and Perm today exists three levels All-Russian videoconference network with more than sixty telemedicine points in rural & remote districts of the country. Тelemedicine’s centers are economically feasible. The main result of the research was the fact that telemedicine education and consultations centers in small cities and villages are a good return on small investments. Telemedicine points in district hospitals (third level of network) will be the base for doctors of general practice IT support (Ukr. z. telemed.

В статье представлен девятилетний опыт развития телемедицины в сельских и удаленных районах России. Начиная с первой телеконсультации на базе простейшего оборудования и каналов ISDN между Москвой и Пермью и до создания современной трехуровневой сети видеоконференц-связи, объединяющей свыше шестидесяти населенных пунктов в сельских и удаленных районах страны. Телемедицина является экономически состоятельной, а создание телемедицинских центров в небольших населенных пунктах – инвестиционно привлекательным малобюджетным бизнесом. Со временем на базе телемедицинских центров возможно создание центров информационной поддержки врачей общей практики (Укр.ж.телемед.мед.телемат.-2005.-Т.3,№2.-С.141-147).
